A pretty rugged car, especially if you buy one with a full service history. Keep an eye out for blown turbos on the diesel model (sluggish throttle response is the giveaway), problems with the electronic control unit for the engine (oddly, dim dashboard lights are the giveaway here), sticking clutches, cracked coil springs and excessive brake disc wear (the Insignia is known for being heavy on its brakes).
