Both are excellent choices from a reliability point of view but I'd suggest you go for the 6 - with that kind of mileage, you want to have the bigger, comfier car and the 6 is really good in that department. Also, the 2.2-litre diesel is Mazda's own engine design so is likely to be more reliable than the Ford-sourced 1.6 diesel in the 3.
