Hi, I'm looking for an Audi A6, have seen a 2010 with 183000km for €9k and a 2014 with 127000km for €23k, both are 2ltr TDI with similar spec but I have never bought second hand before and am dubious about the big difference in price and am not sure if this mileage is too high. Both are from well known dealers though. Any advice would be appreciated. Regards, M.
Hi Martin,
The difference in price is because the 2010 A6 is a Mk3 (codenamed C6) and the 2014 example is a newer Mk4 (codenamed C7) – and we’re currently on the Mk5 A6 (the C8). This means the 2010 car is already two models out of date, hence it’s not worth as much – and, if you’ve got the money, we’d advocate going for the more expensive, later A6, as it will be a nicer ownership proposition and will give you greater peace of mind in terms of reliability.
