A few Opel questions...

Hi, I have two questions, hope you will be able to give some answers, I have an Opel Vectra 2007 with 180,000km mileage, I just changed catalytic converter, radiator, water pump, thermostat, new tyres, new batteries, the car is ncted till August 2021, how much do you think it will be worth to sell. I also intend to buy Opel Insigna between 2015 - 2017, do you think it’s the best choice of car to buy as I just love the car. Thanks in advance.

Our answer:

Hi Ayodaley,

OK, so your Vectra is probably going to be worth between €1,750 and €2,750 with that sort of mileage on in, as a 2007. As to the Insignia, if you’re looking at a 2015-17 car then you’re looking at the very last of the Mk1 models, which are fine enough – but we’d also recommend trying both the first examples of the Mk3 Skoda Superb and also early versions of the Mk5 Mondeo, both of which launched in 2015 and both of which, in our opinion, are superior vehicles to the Mk1 Insignia. You could always look at an early Mk2 Insignia Grand Sport from 2017, which is an excellent car.
