Well, if you’re determined to get rid of it then there’s no point in sinking more money into it. A number of car makers are still offering good ‘scrappage’ discounts for older cars against new models, but most involve the car being driven onto the forecourt under its own power, so you may need to get it working at least well enough to do that.
