Hi, I'm looking for a car that will fit 3 car seats in the back, (New born, 1 and half yr old and a 3 yr old) Or is the only option to go up to a people carrier? Thanks!
Hi Caro,
People carriers are the best at this (Ford S-Max, Volkswagen Touran, Toyota Verso and Kia Carens are the best ones), but there are still a few mainstream cars that can take three across the back. The new-shape Skoda Superb has just about enough width, as do the Hyundai Tucson and Kia Sportage (again, the current models). The old Volvo S80 has a massive back seat, so that’s a good option if you want to go for something second hand. Mind you, all child seats are different, so it’s really worth taking all the seats (and, for that matter the kids) along for the test drive to make sure everyone fits comfortably.
