Sort of, but not directly. What generally happens is that you set up a credit or finance agreement to buy a car, which can take the form of a personal bank loan, a Personal Contract Purchase plan (PCP) or a hire-purchase agreement. The repayments for all of those would come, via a direct debit, from your bank account.
