The road tax on an RX 400h from that era would be €1,200, because it still goes on CO2 emissions as it’s a 2008-onwards car and that Lexus emits 192g/km. To really see a Lexus RX’s road tax significantly drop, you’d need to buy a used example of the current RX 450h, which – with 122g/km – comes in at €270 per annum. But of course, a 2015-on RX 450h costs much more to buy second-hand than an RX 400h from ten years or so ago…
