Just wondering I have 2007 x3 2litre diesel 4x4 and was wondering what's the maximum towing capacity? Have a horse box weights 920kg and a pint at about 500kg
Hi Jackie,
So your total towing weight is 1,420kg? Then you should be fine, as long as it’s a braked trailer, as the maximum braked weight for a 2007 X3 is 1,700kg (unbraked it’s just 720kg). Just be aware though – that combo would put you at 3,465kg, which is very, very close to the Category B driver's licence limit, and anything extra in the boot could push you over that limit, so make sure you have the correct licence for driving a combined car and trailer with a weight in excess of 3,500kg.
