Be very careful. The 1.9 diesel engine, which is a General Motors-Fiat engine, isn’t bad, and is a lot more reliable than the old Swedish-designed 2.2 unit, but the 9-5 as a whole was plagued with electronic and reliability issues. If you can find a very carefully kept one, with a full service history, it’s worth a punt, but be cautious and picky.
