The gearbox can give a bit of bother, so check and make sure that the change feels smooth and accurate. In SE spec you won’t have to worry about too-stiff S line suspension having given everything a pounding, but do carefully check all the electrical systems for any issues and make sure that the suspension isn’t sending up any unpleasant knocks or rattles. Also, most A4s will have been company cars originally, so while the service history should be good, make sure you have a careful look around for signs of abuse or lack of care.
