Looking for an urban car for €10,000.
Hi there, I'm looking to buy a car for me and my girlfriend. Ideal it would be a car similar to a Mini cooper or VW golf for getting around Dublin. We have a budget of 10000 and a car with a capacity of 1.6 is the most we would be looking at.

If you’re mostly doing urban driving, then I’d suggest you track down a Volkswagen Golf with the 1.2 TSI petrol turbo engine. It’s almost as frugal as a diesel, and will be both cheaper to buy and cheaper to maintain. A MINI would also be a good shout, and is arguably more stylish, but the Golf has the edge on reliability and practicality so go for the Volkswagen.
