Well, the Jaguar F-Pace was only launched this summer so you can count that one out unless you’re buying new. The Audi Q5 is probably the best all-rounder at the moment – it’s better looking and smoother than a BMW X3, really nice to drive, well made and solidly reliable as long as you buy one with a full service history. Volvo’s XC60 is a good alternative choice, or, if you live and do most of your mileage in town, then it’s well worth considering a Lexus NX300h hybrid.
