SMiShing & Phishing
Phishing is a way of trying to obtain your personal information and log in details. Short for "SMS phishing", SMiShing is a security attack in which the user is tricked into downloading some type of malware onto their phone or mobile device via a text message.
Fraudsters will use Phishing or SMishing to access your personal details and account information. Carzone.ie will never ask for your log in details in an e mail or text message.

Fraudsters will send phishing emails in an attempt to access your personal information such as username, passwords or financial information.
A phishing e-mail may look like it has come from Carzone.ie and will ask you to confirm your log in details via a link in an e mail. The link will take you to a fraudulent website page which will look like the Carzone.ie website. If you enter your log in information, a fraudster has access to your online accounts.
Carzone.ie will never ask you for you log in details or other personal information in an e-mail and we will never ask you to verify your account information by clicking on a link.
Phishing e-mails can be difficult to spot. If you receive a suspicious e-mail, claiming to be from Carzone.ie, asking for account information please forward it to us at firstname.lastname@example.org or contact our Customer Support Team 01 4490 650.

The message will appear to be from Carzone.ie, or may be sent as an enquiry about your vehicle. This will redirect you to a false login or sign-in page where you will be asked to enter your username and password.
Never disclose your account details to anyone and always ensure your password is strong by using a combination of letters and digits, including upper and lower case. You should also change your password regularly and do not use the same passwords for all your online accounts.
