Opel's 201 offers

Opel's 201 offers

Opel has given us its 201-registration offers for those looking to get into a new car in January. It'll be a crucial time for Opel - its first peak buying period under new management, now that Gowan Distributors has taken over the Opel franchise for Ireland.

It's also a critical time for new models, with the new Corsa arriving now, and coming later in 2020 in all-electric Corsa-e form. There's also the imminent arrival of the plug-in hybrid version of the Grandland X SUV, and the updated Astra hatchback with its new engine line-up.

Kicking off the offers is the new Corsa, which can be had on a 3.9 per cent APR PCP finance package, with monthly repayments from €198. The larger Insignia saloon can be had on the same 3.9 per cent PCP package, or on a zero per cent hire purchase scheme.

The updated Astra, and the existing Crossland X and Grandland X SUVs, can be had on a zero per cent PCP plan or a zero per cent hire purchase agreement, and all come with up to €3,000 'scrappage' discounts.

While Opel has had a tough year, sales-wise, in the passenger car market, its vans have been selling well, and the company wants to capitalise on its strong 7.7 per cent market share finish to 2019. The Opel Combo Cargo will be available on zero per cent PCP and hire purchase, with €3,000 'scrappage' and a five-year warranty.

The medium-sized Vivaro gets the same offer, while the larger Movano gets the same zero per cent finance, but with a €5,000 'scrappage' allowance.
