Toyota's 171 offers

Toyota is getting ready for the arrival of the new 171 number plate with its annual 'ShowTime' event, which runs from the 2nd to the 5th of November. Toyota is showcasing its latest vehicular arrivals - the updated Corolla and Hilux and the new Proace van - and attempting to excite the buying public with special offers.

Those include a special deal on hybrid purchases, which gives buyers five years' free servicing with lifetime roadside assistance and battery care. There's also up to €3,500 'scrappage' on selected hybrid models.

If you're not buying a hybrid, don't worry - you can still get up to €3,500 'scrappage' on selected petrol and diesel cars, along with three years' free servicing.

There are also special offers on extra equipment packs on various models, including the Auris Luna, which comes with a free 'Technology Pack' worth €1,250 including seven-inch Toyota Touch 2 Multimedia System with rear-view camera and cruise control. Pricing starts from only €205 per month for that.

There's also the Avensis, which now comes with Toyota Safety Sense as standard and offers Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert, automatic high beam and Road Sign Assist. Prices start from only €289 per month. Customers can also upgrade from Luna to Sol and receive €2,440 extra sequipment including full leather trim, for only €940, saving €1,500.

The little Aygo can be had with a free safety pack including safety sense worth €425, and APR from only 2.9 per cent, with finance packages from as little as €28 per week. That updated Corolla now has Toyota Safety Sense as standard on Luna and Sol models and starts from €224 per month.

The new Prius comes with Toyota Safety Sense as well as free satnav on the Luxury grade, five years' free servicing, lifetime roadside assistance and free battery care. Prices start from €249 per month while the RAV4 now includes Safety Sense as standard and a high-resolution Toyota Touch 2 Multimedia System with rear-view camera display. The RAV4 starts from €299 per month.

The Yaris Luna grade comes with a 'Free Style' pack worth €750, including alloys and fog lights, and is available from €154 per month while the Verso MPV comes with Toyota Safety Sense as standard, cruise and climate control and is available from €299 per month.
