Firhouse Carmel FC was founded in 1974 and have grown since then from having one single team into a club that fields twenty-one teams.
The community-based club consists of over 250 children in the locality playing schoolboy football for Firhouse Carmel FC.
Their teams range from under 8’s to under 18’s and they also run a very vibrant academy for 6 to 8 year olds as well as first aid courses which are run regularly for all coaches at the club. The lucky teams recently received an extensive set of sponsored kit, which consists of personalised soccer jerseys and team tracksuits. The new gear is a welcome boost for the rising stars of the Firhouse Carmel FC U8s and U9 teams.
Over the years, Firhouse Carmel FC have won trophies from both the SDFL and DDSL Leagues.
U15 Winners of Liverpool Knowlsley International Tournament 2011 and U10 Winners of Preston Easter Cup 2012.
For the last fifteen years Firhouse Carmel FC have had a very successful week long mini world cup which sees in excess of 300 children aged between six and twelve come to Firhouse, from various areas and clubs, to play football. Their commitment “Through sport we endeavour to give our players a solid basis for their lives ahead.” Is what makes them such a strong part of the community in Tallaght.
Stuarts Garages Greenhills is well established in the local area with many employees associated with the Firhouse Carmel FC Football Club long-standing relationship was the basis for the dealership choosing the up and coming under-age team for the Carzone competition.

The competition is being run by Carzone, who have been calling on car dealers nationwide to nominate their local sports team of choice. This sponsorship initiative will see several sports clubs receive their very own branded kit courtesy of their local car dealership over the next few months, giving car dealerships the opportunity to support their local community.
