Porsche Panamera: Longwheel-based version in the works

Porsche is working on a longwheel-based Porsche Panamera for the US and China. <br><br> In a move to better appeal to North American and Chinese customers, Porsche is developing a long-wheelbase version of its Panamera, to effectuate greater rear-seat legroom in the vehicle. The 115-inch Panamera wheelbase will be extended to 120 inches. The long-wheelbase S-class boasts 124 inches.

In a move to better appeal to North American and Chinese customers, Porsche is developing a long-wheelbase version of its Panamera, to effectuate greater rear-seat legroom in the vehicle. The 115-inch Panamera wheelbase will be extended to 120 inches. The long-wheelbase S-class boasts 124 inches.

All of the added length will be used to incorporate a longer rear door, and a larger rear-door aperture. The extended Panamera is expected to go on sale in 2012;
