Nissan Note replaced

Nissan has given us more information on its all-new Note that hits dealerships this week.

What's the news?
Nissan has given us more information on its all-new Note that hits dealerships later this week. We now know that the model will be available in three levels of trim - XE, SV and SVE - and will come to market with a price tag starting at €15,995.

Exterior
On base-level XE models, you don't get much in the way of exterior flourishes. Steel wheels and body coloured bumpers are pretty much it at this level; alloy wheels and front fog lamps only become standard on higher-grade SV and SVE versions. Daytime running lights are a standard feature on the new Note.

Interior
Inside, the XE model looks more promising. Every version gets cruise control, electric windows, and both Bluetooth and USB connectivity options; but niceties such as air conditioning, heated door mirrors and a multi-functional steering wheel don't come in until the mid-range SV version. Top-spec customers can enjoy automatic air conditioning, part-leather trim, automatic lights and wipers, a Family Pack, keyless entry-and-go and Nissan's Connect system. An advanced around-view monitor is also available in the new Note, providing a 360-degree bird's eye view of the car when parking.

Mechanicals
Under the bonnet, buyers can choose from one of three engine options; all of which come with stop-start as standard. The range starts with a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine developing 80hp; and continues the petrol trend with a 1.2-litre DIG-S unit that makes more power but produces lower emissions. The diesel offering is a 1.5-litre dCi unit, which is the cleanest of the three.

The new Note can also be had with Nissan's Safety Shield system. This set up combines Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning and Moving Object Detection to assist the driver as much as possible. Six airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system and an 'Ecometer' are also standard fit items in the Note.

Anything else?
The new Nissan Note will be available in dealerships nationwide from the 4th October.
