Toyota is being staggeringly tight-lipped about its updated Avensis, which will make its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show on March 3rd. All it will tell us so far is that the new styling has been created by Toyota's own ED2 design studio in France and that there's "a new range of engines that promise both performance and efficiency".
Under the bonnet
That almost certainly means that the new 1.6-litre D-4D engine, co-developed by Toyota and BMW, will find its way into the Avensis - it's already on sale in the Verso MPV.
Is there more?
Any other details will have to wait for the big show, although hints are being dropped about major chassis and suspension upgrades and an update to the cabin.
