Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's a Kia Optima

Superman inspired Kia unveiled at Chicago Auto Show.

This particular Optima Hybrid was created by Kia America, Super Street magazine and DC Entertainment to raise funds for the "We Can Be Heroes" campaign, a relief effort to help the drought and famine affected people in the Horn of Africa.

The Superman Optima is the seventh such car with previous models having been inspired by Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg - all members of the Justice League. An eighth car, which will show all eight members of the super troop, will be unveiled in time.

In addition to the 'S' logo the Superman Optima features wide arches, an adjustable suspension system that can raise and lower the vehicle with the push of a button, a grille that has been modelled on Clark Kent's alter ego's belt and red headlights that 'glow with the same intensity as Superman's heat vision.'

The interior is equally bedecked with custom upholstery that was chosen for its unique appearance and texture to reflect Superman's impenetrable battle armour while each seat and the steering wheel are adorned with the Man of Steel's "S" logo.
