It’s not a terrible car, the Mokka, but neither is it Opel’s best work. The biggest issue is the ancient 1.7 diesel engine (recently replaced by the much-improved 1.6). Prone to stalling and unbelievably noisy, it’s not great and spoils what would otherwise be a reasonably pleasant compact crossover. Space in the cabin is OK, quality is fine and it’s not bad to drive. Watch for electrical issues, but other than that they seem to be pretty reliable.
