I have €10k to spend on a motorway car...
budget of €10000 and i need a car for travelling between Dublin & Athlone approx 4 times a week.

Well, it depends on what you need. A hatchback? A saloon? An SUV? The best starting point is to say hatchback, I guess, and in that case your best bets are a good old Golf (diesel is default, but the 1.4 TSI is a good option if you want to swerve the black pump) or a Toyota Auris (endlessly reliable, and you can get the hybrid if you want to be truly cutting edge).
