Audi Q7 3.0 TDI 268bhp S-Line (2015)
Our Rating 4.3 / 5
Carzone Test Drives the new Audi Q7 3.0 TDI 268bhp S-Line
S line cars will receive 20 inch alloy wheels, privacy glass, S-Line bumpers, S-Line aluminium inserts as well as S-Line sports seats additionally this car also boasts 4 wheel steering which basically aids low speed manoeuvrability in town and high speed stability on motorways. And the air suspension which is part of Audi s dynamic pack. Now if you spec air suspension it gives you two additional driver modes on top of the five you already get. There’s an all-road and an off-road setting the helps raise the ride height by 25mm and 60mm respectively.
You can also go into the boot, press a little button and the ride height can lower if you want to load in heavy items or hook up a trailer, as the towing capacity on this car is up to 3500kg. That said if you are going to use your Q7 for more mundane motorway journeys or simply taking the kids to school then the standard fit steel spring suspensions are more than plush enough. The cabin is super fined, the steering light, the 8 speed tiptronic automatic gear box is really smooth though on some occasions we have found the diesel at roundabouts and junctions does take a bit of time to get into the flow of things.
It’s a very complete classy proposition the Q7 , but despite the sporty intentions of the S-Line trim, it is no drivers car and is why we would probably recommend going with an SE trim and spending the additional change on other items such as the comfort pack which gives you really plush seats and enjoying some of super optional tech which you can get on this car now including heads up display, park assist, and the brilliant 3D surround sound system.
