Updated Audi A6 and A7

Audi has given the A6, A7 and A6 allroad quattro models a modest update.

Grab your magnifying glasses everyone, as Audi has given the A6 and the A7 a very, very slight update.

At the front, so we are told: "the new front apron, and struts in high-gloss black that divide the lateral ventilation grilles horizontally." We think that means there's a new front bumper, and there's another incorporating an aerodynamic diffuser at the back, too.

For S line models the radiator surround will now be in satin black, with the grille slats in chrome. For versions with adaptive cruise control, the front foglights will get chrome rings.

There are two new paint options - 'Matador Red' and 'Gotland Green' - while the A6 allroad quattro gets an exclusive colour all of its own - 'Java Brown.'

There are new LED lights for the interior and boot, as well as new silver aluminium inlays for the dash (which can optionally be finished in bronze for the allroad model), as well as a new fine-grain birch wood option.

On the infotainment front, there is now Apple CarPlay and Android Auto lurking in the MMI system, while the Audi Phone Box now includes wireless inductive charging. There are also optional Audi tablets, which can clip into the seatbacks to entertain those in the rear, and can be clipped out and used away from the car too.

There's also a new optional 'Advanced' package for the A6 allroad quattro, which includes 'Soho Brown' paint, new colours for the protective panels, 20-inch wheels and a sports differential for the quattro all-wheel drive system. Inside, you get sports seats with Valcona leather, birch inlays and velour mats.
