Skoda Fabia Combi arrives

The new Skoda Fabia Combi estate will cost from €15,495.

What's new?

Skoda has revealed a three-tier trim line for the forthcoming third-generation Fabia Combi. Cars will be split into Active, Ambition and Style with prices starting from €15,495 for a 1.0-litre Active model up to €21,195 for a range-topping Style version powered by the 1.4-litre TDI diesel engine. Sandwiched between those two engines is a new 1.2-litre TSI petrol unit that offers up 90hp. Manual transmissions will be standard with DSG automatic an option on some models.

Basic Active cars come with curtain airbags, electric front windows, 14-inch steel wheels and remote central locking.  Ambition models add in a touchscreen radio unit, 15-inch alloy wheels, LED lights, Bluetooth and a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel. The top-level Style gets 16-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, rear electric windows, rear parking sensors and KESSY, Skoda's version of keyless entry and go.

As part of its 151 offering the Fabia Combi is available from €165 per month with Skoda Finance.

The official word:

Speaking in relation to the new Fabia Combi, Hugh Delaney, Product Manager, Skoda Ireland, said: "The dramatic new styling of the Fabia Combi has not reduced but increased the room and functionality of the car, something Skoda customers have always valued. Skoda has persisted with an intense focus on the Combi models, not just the Fabia but also Octavia and Superb Combis. These cars are very popular internationally as the Estate body type is often favoured over Saloon or Hatch in continental Europe. The Combi offers so much in space and has the same styling as the hatch and I think we will see a great deal of our old model hatch customers buying a Fabia Combi for the first time."
