Renault makes electric car offer

Renault has upped the ante in the electric vehicle stakes with an attractive new offer on its Fluence and Kangoo Z.E. range. Both vehicles are now available with a five-year unlimited mileage warranty and two years' free battery rental - a potential saving of €2,300 based on the Fluence's €82 per month standard charge.

The ESB is still offering free installation of home charging points (a further €1,000 saving). With a starting price of €21,610 (after government incentive of €5,000) it is comparably priced to the diesel powered Fluence.

For those still worried about range anxiety or lack of infrastructure Renault has launched an Extended Test Drive programme - available on both the passenger and commercial EVs. Available from your local Renault dealership the extended test drive provides the opportunity to run the EV for a full month before deciding whether electric is for you. If it suits your lifestyle drive off with a five-year unlimited mileage warranty and two years' battery rental and if not simply hand the car back to the dealer.
