That's pretty impressive pricing actually, the Niro's €28,995 figure comparing well to an entry-level Sportage, which is a grand less at €27,995.
Kia Ireland has confirmed that the Niro will come as standard with satnav, Android Auto compatibility (Apple CarPlay to follow), full leather heated seats, dual-zone air conditioning, Lane Keep Assist, LED front and rear lights, privacy glass and rain-sensing wipers.
Due on sale in the latter half of October 2016, the Niro is capable of 3.8 litres/100km (74.3mpg) while emitting just 88g/km of CO2.
