Citroen C1 pricing announced

What's new?
Citroen has announced that its new C1 will officially be launched here in Ireland in August with prices starting at €10,995. The small car, which was developed alongside the Peugeot 108 and Toyota Aygo, will be available with two petrol engines - VTi 68 and PureTech 82. The VTi 68 will come with a choice of either a five-speed manual gearbox or a five-speed clutch-less Efficient Tronic Gearbox (ETG), while more powerful engine will be offered solely with the five-speed manual transmission.

Like many small cars, personalisation will play a big part in the new Citroen C1. Three different specification levels - Touch, Feel and Flair - are available, while there will also be a choice of eight different body colours, three wheel designs and three interior upholstery finishes. For those that want wind-in-the-hair motoring, Citroen will offer an Airscape option that features a full-length retractable fabric roof available in three different colours.

Standard equipment in the C1 includes front electric windows, remote central clocking, an MP3-compatible audio system along with a USB socket and LED daytime running lights. The mid-level Feel trim adds DAB digital radio and a seven-inch touchscreen system with Mirror Screen technology into the mix, along with body-colour door mirrors and handles, as well as a multi-function steering wheel. At the top of the range, those opting for the Feel spec will gain 15-inch 'Planet' alloy wheels, a reversing camera, a speed limiter, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, tinted rear windows and electrically heated and adjustable door mirrors.
