It’s that time of the year again, July has arrived, summer is in full swing and the new 162 registration plate is officially here! Newly-registered cars are now rolling out of dealerships across the country and going on the success of car sales during the first half of 2016, we can expect it to be yet another busy period for the motoring industry as excited buyers shop for their next car.
Here at Carzone, we have seen a huge spike in interest for new cars, as during June, buyers regularly-researched new models on our sites and apps, compared prices and different finance offers and browsed specifications to decide on their perfect next car. Some of the most-researched new cars on Carzone last month included popular crossover SUVs such as the Hyundai Tucson, family hatchbacks like the Volkswagen Golf and desirable luxury cars like the Mercedes S-Class (see full breakdown below).
During the 161 registration period (January to June), Carzone searches for new cars shot up with an increase in people searching for low-mileage 2016 models. Our own motoring experts were also kept very busy with a large number of car buyers asking us motoring-related questions (see here), including the trade-in value of their cars, advice on the best new models on the market and how to purchase new cars on finance.
We look forward to increased activity on Carzone this July as buyers browse the site for their next new car. Here’s to 162!
