Thinking about buying a Infiniti Q30. Any tips?

Our answer:

Hi Brian,

It’s a decent car, but the issue will be in terms of keeping it serviced. For a premium brand, you really want to stick with a main dealer for servicing to keep up the resale value, and as there is no Infiniti dealer in Ireland, that’s going to be tricky. The nearest one is in Belfast. Mechanically, it should be reliable as it’s basically a Mercedes-Benz GLA under the skin, and is built in Nissan’s factory in Sunderland, which makes the Qashqai and the Leaf. If you fancy one, though, it could be a easier and less of a fuss just to get a GLA, which is identical in every respect except styling.
