How much to import a classic Merc?
Hello, I'm considering importing a 1988 Mercedes E200 D from N.I, The asking price is £6000, what duty/taxes would I incur to register it in the Republic of Ireland? Yours sincerely, Terence Casey.

Our understanding is that you'll only have to pay a €200 falt rate of VRT as the car is over 30 years old. It's worth double-checking this with Revenue before you commit to the purchase of course.
