What was the average price of a 8 year old morris 10 car in 1957
Hi Bridget,
Right, there’s a fair amount of guesswork involved in this, but a Morris 10 would have set you back in the region of £400 in 1948 when it was new (assuming you could get your hands on one — car makers were under the cosh from the government at the time to build for export, not the home market). Allowing for eight years of depreciation to bring us up to 1957, you’re probably looking at a price of no more than £100.
